Caroline's grandmother reports:
"Caroline (age 9) and I always go the Carolina Beach library with a BIG bag first thing to check out a week's worth of books to read right after we get unpacked.
The funny thing about this was that every time Rilley (age 3) got in the swing, she wanted Caroline to read to her...those books were re read many times!"

And here's our first "Caught Reading" digital photo contest entry, Jake. Starting with indestructible books that can go everywhere he goes, he's getting ready to read by learning to hold books, turn pages, decipher pictures, and get familiar with print. He's learning that books are tools that will help him explore the world. Go, Jake!
Kids and adults are invited to enter our digital photo contest, "Caught Reading" - featuring digital photos of readers, books, or libraries.
Email submissions
by July 31, 5 pm
Include photographer's name, age group Youth (18 or under) or Adult (19 or older), mailing address, email address, and telephone number
To be accepted, content must be G rated.
All entries will be displayed on the library's webpage, and winners in Adult and Youth categories will be displayed in the library. Entries may be used later in library newsletters and other publications.
